A proposed interconnection between the plant and a new 230kV substation on the transmission line was required to avail 250 MVA power from the Saudi Electrical Company's (SEC) grid for the plant operation. To assess the impact of this, DAR was commissioned to perform power system studies to validate the plant performance in-compliance with Saudi Arabian Electricity Grid Code.
A range of studies were conducted and proposals submitted to the client to mitigate any negative impacts of the proposed scheme.
