Jubail II Gas Network
Jubail Industrial City, built more than three decades ago, will double its size once completed upon integrating its second phase of growth. The US$11 billion Jubail II megaproject, as it is known, will encompass a range of industrial plants, an oil refinery and desalination plant to expand the city which already accounts for 7% of the world’s petrochemicals, contributed 11.5% of the kingdom’s gross domestic product and created 85% of the kingdom’s exports when not considering oil.

DAR was commissioned by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu to provide a range of design and engineering services to support the expansion of an existing gas network in the city. Specific work included preliminary FEED design work & calculations, specification and cost estimation for the network.
