King Fahd Medical City is one of the largest and fastest growing medical complexes in the Middle East spanning 500,000sqm with a total capacity of 1,200 beds. The total construction cost of the facility reached US$613 million and treats 600,000 patient visitors annually.

To support its continued expansion, DAR was commissioned to design, supervise and manage the creation of several new medical centers at the development including a 13-storey National Center for Neuroscience, 13-storey cancer center, Heart Center, Labs & Offices Building, Proton Treatment Center and Central Services Building.
The building area of the project elements was approximately 250,000sqm in addition to the general layout. Several components of the newly developed facility were awarded LEED certification as well as the project winning Saudi’s Hospital of the Year at Healthcare Asia Awards 2023.
